Scotland opened up again in Level 3 on Monday 26th April and it was wonderful to see beer gardens full of excited people out enjoying themselves once again. Nadia and I joined the happy throngs and visited an outside venue at the Cranside Kitchen adjacent to the Finnieston Crane down by the river Clyde. During our visit to celebrate my birthday, we enjoyed a glass of wine and some hot food and happily watched the world go by around us. It was great to be outside again.....
We have now set off on our the latest trip in Iona and without any real plan of where we were heading, we drove north to the top of Loch Lomond and then headed east, winding up at Lochan na Làirige, Ben Lawers in Perth and Kinross where we set up camp for the night. The weather is still on the cool side with the ambient temperature around 4 degrees at 19:00 and an overcast sky with rain-laden clouds, however, it was wonderful to be out communing with nature again. Long may it continue......
Unfortunately only a short visit - have to come back on Monday
