This week’s choice inevitably chose itself! This is the iTunes No 1 this week and is an update of the classic 1974 Chinn and Chapman composition, recorded by Mud: Londly this Christmas.
However, the makeover has been created to fit with modern times and is a sad reflection of just where we are this Christmas.
So here is Iona’s Song of the Week at Christmas time: Freezing this Christmas by Sir Starmer and the Granny Harmers!
An excellent choice as I've not heard it played on the radio mind you I only listen to Greatest Hits Radio and they only play 70, 80, 90s music so I would have heard the original Mud version.
