British Winter Time……
With British Summer Time ending yesterday, October 26th, we are entering shorter days and much longer nights. And so, with this in mind, we are setting out on our first trip of the winter 2025 tomorrow. In particular terms, this means that the sun sets at around 16:45, having left behind only 9 hours of ‘daylight’! The result of this shortening of our day is that we have less time to travel from A to B, find somewhere to pitch up (most campsites have now closed or are closing

While we were there, this wee belter turned up and I could not resist a photo! The next day, we walked along the shore and into the harbour area and encoun

And the beat goes on…..
After a few days in Markinch in Fife, we moved further north to a fairly regular stopover: The Larick campsite in Tayport. As it happened, our stay coincided with the arrival of high winds and heavy rain, so we brought Iona’s pop-up roof down before we set off for a walk to the shops and Cobbies Inn, about 15 minutes through the town. On our way back, the rain started in earnest, and the wind picked up. By about 22:00, the gusts were around 61 mph, but we were warm and toast
