With British Summer Time ending yesterday, October 26th, we are entering shorter days and much longer nights. And so, with this in mind, we are setting out on our first trip of the winter 2025 tomorrow. In particular terms, this means that the sun sets at around 16:45, having left behind only 9 hours of ‘daylight’! After a three night stop in Braemar, where we found a lovely Braemar Brewery beer called `Hazy Pale’, we set off to Tomintoul for a night in a park-up spot in the bowling club carpark. And here is a tip, if you are ever in Tomintoul, do treat yourself to a bacon roll in the cafe opposite the main carpark. It is delish! Our next stop on our current journey was Brechin, where we enjoyed a three-night stopover before heading up the East coast to Stonehaven for a couple of nights.
